Welcome to Cycle Challenges
Cycle Challenge was set up five years ago when we did the first C2C mass ride. We at Cycle Challenge organise the transport and campsite leaving you with the fun bit. In the past we have raised money for Help for Heroes, and in 2010 managed more than £20,000 for the RNLI. Ride numbers have varied between 50 and 200 and this year we are adding the 425-mile English-French Petit Tour de Manche. This will involve cycling Weymouth-Poole-Cherbourg-St-Malo-Weymouth (with ferries in between). Quite apart from raising money, the Challenge is about meeting people, friendship and fun.
The brand new 7-day mini-Tour de Manche route in September. This 275 mile ride takes in the Dorset coast between Weymouth and Poole before you all hop on the ferry to Cherbourg. Six days of challenging riding capped off with a night in St-Malo.
The first C2C Challenge of the season will be on June 8 & 9. Usual routine: meet up at Sunderland at 0500 on Saturday morning to take the coach to Whitehaven. We sort the camp, you do the cycling. The rest is in the lap of the gods. A booking form and fuller details will be posted on January 28.
